yikes you guys what do you expect? CSN usually has -maybe- three news posts a day, and if you sit there all day refreshing of course it'll seem like nothing's happening!!! There's quite a bit happening on this site on a day-to-day basis! If you don't like the amount of news that's comming in, spend your time looking for news to submit instead of sitting there hitting refresh.



Oh and that G3 strat...in my opinion, nothing really new but good basic stuff. I still prefer the scout, tho...nothing beats its manuverability. With a G3 you're slowed down between shots, but with a scout you can still manuver at full speed between shots. It's all about the scout.

I used to be pretty effective with the scout, but after I played a little moh:aa and sof2 all traces of skill have vanished.



I actually have trouble hitting stationary targets. Why did this happen? Oh well, I'm not really a sniper type in CS anyhow.

For me, what works with the scout when sniping someone else who perhaps has an awp:



Try to bait them into firing first, and then, when they are loading the next bullet.. stop and fire.. you may be able to get two shots off before they can zoom and aim again since the scout has such a short time between shots.

I don't even use strategies for the mp5 I just fuckin shoot it. Mostly headshots.

In my opinion, while you're reloading is where manuverability comes in, it's when you strafe like a mofo or (ideally) duck into cover until you're ready for your next shot. This allows you to keep your eye on the target and take less hits, especially if you're in cover. This is very tough to do with other sniper rifles that slow you down (i.e. G3 or AWP) and hence the reason why I prefer the scout.



While I do agree with the basic premise of your strat, i.e. trying to get them to shoot first and then timing your shots with theirs, I'd much rather have manuverability and stay [more] alive as opposed to stopping and get pasted by your target's teammates and their rifles.

I really enjoy the G3/SG-1. Probably because the custom sounds make it ROAR! I tend to use it unzoomed, almost as another pistol, or single-zoomed, firing two or three shot bursts. I also tend to die a lot with it.

The MP5 strat was rubbish. It contained very few snippets of info on the gun - it's more like a generic weapon strat.



If the auto-snipers are useless why do I know someone that can always get kills with it? They're great in the right hands, like the para in some ways because they can provide suppresion fire.

As I said before, the G3 is an awesome close range weapon. Just run chaotically toward the enemy, weaving all around so as to avoid the rampant awps, and then bust out the G3 and have fun!
