i hope u all realize this could be killing the REAL CS not this dum ass old crap. I started playing from beta 2 so ive seen most of it and i think CS it better now than what it was in beta 5 and 6 and so on. who relly cares that much about a .5 sec delay on a jump or some new recoil afect. it doesn't matter that much yet ppl are still complaining and bitching aver a .5 second "slow down" after u jump. personal i think CS-clasic should die, its a discrase to the real CSComment

First, I hope CSC kills off the real CS. It'll make the developers realize what really made this game fun, not fancy graphics and models. IMO they should also start running beta 7 on servers since it's the oldest version still compatible with the current HL version. They could run it under the folder cstrike7 and it would be just fine. And since CSC is still based off the v1 and up of counterstrike, this would be a much fresher start if they based it off the actual beta 7 coding.
Bring back the classic cs models. Even though the ones in CSC look very much like them they're just reskinned onto the skeletons of the newer models with all that valve animation blending crap. I have full installs of all the betas from 3 to v1.5 so I have these models if anyone wants them.
And for god sakes bring back the OLD de_aztec, that was my favourite map of all time, I don't like the new one.Comment

And does anyone realize it's just 1.1 with old models, sounds, and maps? I don't know how they plan on removing stuff... unless you can do all that by hooking the dlls.Comment

Does CS-classic have a website, like where they talk about changes, additions, the people who made it, stuff like that. It seems its just something you can get on fileplanet at this point, which is kinda frustrating.
It seems to me that CS-classic right now is CS1.5 with bunnyhopping and no firstperson spectator. The guns are all the same, the maps are just old maps that nobody ever plays anymore since they are unbalanced, and the player models aren't really the old ones. What we really need is for someone to dig up an old Beta 6 install file and put that on fileplanet, then we can play the real cs-classic.Comment

I mentioned this in my post. Beta 7 is the oldest beta that will work with the current half life version, anything older is incompatible unless it is to be modified. Really all you'd have to do is install to another folder, something along the lines of "cstrike7" etc. Then you just scan for games running "cstrike7"

I also have all the full installs of all versions of cstrike since beta 3

i do think that b5 and 6 were very good but personaly i think the curent is better than what it use to be, some may some may not but i dont relly care i enjoyed playing it then and i enjoy playing it nowComment
