We have gotten word that CS-Classic beta 2 is in the works. Here are some of the changes from the original CS-Classic:

• elites removed
  
  
• five seven removed
  
  
• ump removed
  
  
• changed mp5 model/skin to standard
  
  
• changed glock model/skin to standard
  
  
• knife slash sound from cs beta 5.2 added.
  
  
• various tweaks
  
  
• added maps, as_forest, cs_arabstreets, cs_assault (old version)
  
  cs_desert, cs_station, cs_wpndepot, de_fang plus more.
  
  
• slightly different version of cs_siege. the tower at the ct start is now accessible.

Still waiting for the m4 scope...

I joined tail end of 1.1, like the week after I bought HL they released 1.3, so I am n00b. I was pretty frustrated with those CS trivia questions, too.

Does CS Classic works for Retail users?

CS classic is a fucking mod. All fucking mods work for fucking retail users. Sorry, my comp just suffered a fatal harddrive error for the 90th fucking time and I'll have to reinstall everything and back up everything and format and install an OS for the 90th fucking time. Just download the mod and unzip it to C:\Sierra\Counter-strike or whereve your counter-strike folder is for you(not cstrike). It will then be in custom games when you go to play CS. If you want to use the mod's little shortcut icon right click it, go to properties, change hl.exe to cstrike.exe. WE STILL NEED THE FUCKING MAP PACK FOR RETAIL USERS THOUGH.
