    Loud Newsbits

Today's Newsbits cover the topic of combining the joy of killing and music.
    • half-life sound selector is a little program that lets you play .wav files over cs voice comm. however, instead of the same .wav file repeatedly, hlss allows you to bind different keys to multiple sound files. exciting!

    • insaneplayer allows you to control winamp while playing cs by binding keys to various winamp functions (play, pause, etc.). mind you, the songs are not broadcast over voice comm., just played on your computer. still very cool, though.

    • cyberkastradio will be pimpin' it from the cpl summer championship this year. oh yeah.
    How sound! Aha, a pun!

I usually enjoy puns. Rizzuh, you have spoiled them for me and every other worhtless geek out there. Also, I am sure Rizzuh will find some way to combine HLSS and InsanePlayer to let us all listen to Pink while we get slaughtered by the other team. I know I won't, as one of the main selling points of my computer was the ability to easily change RAM...they gave me an extra 1.44 MB floppy drive!

Seriously though, InsanePlayer will probably eat up RAM. I'm fine with keeping a little $5 radio on my desk while I play.

Do you guys just automatically assume rizzuh posts all the news? I feel loved.

Anyway, I'm sorry for ruining puns for you -Dice, but, please, still blame rizzuh. It's quite fun.

All you have to do is convert the song you want to the right format (Windows PCM 8,000hz 16bit mono) and plug it into HLSS and w00t now you can spam voice comm with annoying music.

Sorry scr0llie, rizzuh posted a few in a row so I assumed it was him. Anyways, puns are still fine, I am just an awful wretch of a person who likes to turn the hose on kids trick-or-treating at his house.

That's really cool that you could make it so efficient, inse-. Have you played The Opera? There's a built-in WinAmp thingy, and it EATS RAM. I've tried yours and it still runs pretty well. Thanks & kudos.

Whats not working? The program or the script? Make sure that:

                            1) Your game directory is set and is correct.

                            2) The script and binds are set up correctly.

                            3) You've got the program activated and are pressing the right buttons.

Is the black box not showing up, or is the .wav just not playing?

Disk2 (author of HLSS) is working on a new version which will fix all your problems.

BTW garry I love your avatar its madd funny.
