Remember CSPickup launching just a while ago, but only in Europe? Well the saddened Americans can wipe their tears away because CSPickup has extended their great service to the States. No more 200+ pings because they have a whopping 5 servers that are provided by the Fight With Honor League. Also, their IRC channel for the USA games is now on the beloved Gamesnet. Remember, before playing, you need to register on their site.

I hope this catches on. I'd love to get my friends, who are total teamplay whores, into some pickup matches. They kind of fear the "clan" element of matches, hopefully this will balance clan players with smart pub players. -

This stuff is great, you get the great fun of teamplay with the relaxed atmosphere and not as much stress like in a league match.

Woohoo, every one sign up on www.cspickup.net and then go to #cspickup on gamesnet... it's so great : )
and usually I hate everything. So this is relatively uncommon. If mouth ends up liking it then it's the best thing ever.
edit: It no longer owns as much. 3 times in a row it has failed to work. There's no Lo3 or anything, it just stops after 13 round and changes maps. Sub's are never available, and players frequently get banned.Comment

Gpig20, try it out and you'll see what I mean. You get banned if you have the wrong WonID, although I'm not sure if that was the problem or the bot/server. They need to exec a .cfg when the match starts. (We had $16000 for start, freechase was on.) The bot keeps flooding out of IRC, and if some one leaves then the match is cancelled if no sub is found. Which rarely happens.Comment

Remember the system is still in beta, its noramlly being used on quakenet so the commands use "!" which is also used by Chanserv. This along with things such as the bot L-a-g-g-ing out because its still being run from somewhere in europe so we can make changes to it. Once these things have been worked out and the .cfg's have been completly customized the system will be completly automatic and signup only takes seconds.

I realize this, and I really do like the idea. It seems to have the ability to be pulled off well, but there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out first. I've already seen improvement after just a couple times playing. (ie: we were actually able to play) Hopefully it will all work and we can all dance together merrily!Comment

yea i was basically one of the first ppl to try it.. by the 5th game it FINALLY got it right.. too bad the bot didnt exec a cfg so we had 16000 bucks.. the reason it banned ppl left in right it cuz they didnt sign up with the correct wonid.. if you sign up for this ENTER IN THE CORRECT INFO IN ALL FIELDS.. once the bugs get worked out this is gonna be awesome.. oh and btw lief is secksie ;d
