    CS: CZ Q&A

Cool Guys Krew has typed up a short Q&A with Randy Pitchford in the latest PC Zone, a British UK gaming magazine. The Q&A was taken from E3 in May. Since The Cool Guys Krew site might go down or be very slow for you, you can click through for the transcript.[break]Randy: "We wanted to make it a bigger game. We had some really cool single-player narrative but it wasn't all the way"

With that Randy fired up a demo showing your typical CS style gunfight. Suddenly a helicopter appeared, was hit, clipped a building and careered to the ground in the middle of the action. The next few minutes were a bit embarrassing.

Randy: "This isn't a video this is...."

PC Zone: "Is this a cut-scene"

Randy: "No, this is actually happening while you're down there playing"

And with that he cut to another demo where a bridge is hit by a rocket launcher, sending masonry flying out towards the Cs Players nearby

PC Zone: "So basically these are just animations?"

Randy (Patiently): "No, these actually happen in-game while you're playing"

PC Zone: "So that rock will do you damage if it hits you?"

Randy: "Oh yeah, that stuff'll hurt. We decided to go full-crazy on the single player narrative so we're spending all our time doing this and it's getting extraordinarily cool with loads of cinematic moments"

    Thanks again, Cool Guys Krew!

No, it will simply glance off your skull and leave small spider-web cracks. I am really looking forwrad to single-player CS. That Counter-Life mod always interested me, and I can't wait to take on terrorist factions with my elite SWAT mates or something like that.

I always liked AS maps because they made me feel like an actual counter-terrorist. CS and DE maps eventually degenerate down to deathmatches, but every AS game I've played has been a concerted effort to guard the VIP...so I'm really looking forward to doing some counter-terrorism stuff. Yeah, that came out terribly.

I've been looking forward to it since the beginning. I mainly want it to play the missions in co-op that'd be so cool going through the game with some friends.

Guess what, you're an idiot. I know they announced it. Companies change decisions a lot when a project is pending release.

Yeah, remember that time when that major single player game was released free on the net.

I like how Exo would be both mad if it were unreleased, yet pleased because it didn't waste his time. JERK.
