Cs-Classic is a fantastic idea to reimberse the oldskool cs in with the new...Only I think sum things could be changed or re-adjusted to make this game the greatest cs...it could possibly be...here are the changes I would make and my reasons why i would make them...



1. The Player Models - I think the original player models were by far the best...the original navy seal, gsg9 and sas skins appeared to me to be alot more realistic looking...and i also think that the models would look better if they featured team colored/camo uniforms...hence...the game is team based



2. The Knifing Factor - Myself and probably the majority of cs players...would have to agree that running faster with a knife was probably the best if not the greatest aspect of cs ever...and the older knifing animation looked alot kooler as well...and the secondary knife function is just useless...and should at least kill an enemy with one strike...due to the latency it takes to execute...so i think the original knifing pose and single function was alot better



3. The Weapons - I'm not sure if many or ne would agree with me on this...but...I think it would be alot kooler and possibly alot fairer if you could purchase ne weapon...no matter what team your on...Because Sum Players...such as myself...have a preferred gun that we'd like to purchase the majority of the time we play cs...but being on a team without our prefered gun...can be very annoying and at times frustrating...it would be nice if i could be a T and buy a colt or a Ct and buy an Ak...you no what mean? Also...the secondary gun options...i dislike with a passion...because when you c a player carrying the colt...and they have it silenced...you don't c the silencer on the gun...so you mind as well...as keep the gun always silenced or unsilenced...no what i mean?



4. Disable Use Of Scripts - doing this would disable people to have the advantage of fast gun/ammo purchasing and if not the most annoying feature that the old cs betas composed...bunnyhoping is by far the cheapest and most annoying thing a player can do...in my opinion...well...i think jumping should stay the way it is...only outside scripts should not be allowed...so people will not be able to do things that give them an advantage or make them a nusiance



5. The Maps - I think you should include more maps from the betas...there are alot of good maps that were not included in this beta...but um sure there will be more included in the following



6. Utilities - Admin Mod, Anti - Cheat Protection, etc...are a must...cs won't be the same without them



well...so far so good...um glad that they have created a mixed version of cs...combining the old with the new...which i think is a smart move...i think people will be surprised...that if this is done correctly...it will take off and become more popular than the current up to date version...that so many old skool cs players as myself can't stand...well...just keep it coming

OK , Monkster , i did what your said and i still dont see any csclassic servers, I have csretail so this might be a problem. At first i went to internet games and then i went to filter and chose csclassic to filter and it still wont gimme cs classic servers. Somebody list some please. or help me atleast .

OK I feel bad that some of you have nothing better to do than go around and flame people, but if it makes you feel any better i guess thats your little fetish. Just feel free to do so after you move out of your parents basement. All betas have issues and hopefully the ones discussed here will be resolved; then everyone can be happy. Personally I would like to see the map de_jeepathon2k added to the maps. I really enjoyed some great matches on that map.

i totaly agree with everything you said except this, and thats mainly cuz ive made my own scripts to tweak the controls to my personal preferences. disabling the use of scripts would force everyone to use all defaults of the game. I also use rizzuh's binds to help me buy guns with one single key. i know this IS an advantage... but its definately not an "OGC" advantage.

Bose already said it, but there should be much more maps in this mod, and maybe some old custom maps like cs_rio and de_village or so should be in it.



And about scipting, please keep it this way, its on of the things that make the hl-engine so usefull
