Yeah, we've just been through this; it doesn't. At all.

I guess in a way, this mod has brought back all the 'problems' and bugs that CS used to have for the enjoyment of people who used to like it that way.

Having to rely tactics instead of a spacebar for a whole 2 months must've been such a burden for them. Jesus, are you even reading the crap you're trying to pass off here?

I personally play both of them although there are few csclassic servers. My point is, dont bitch about this mod becuase it has problems.. the beta days had problems and thats what this mod is trying to recreate.

I guess that answers the previous question. You obviously aren't.

if you download and install the old official cs beta files, your gonna screw up your current version of cs, and there are few people that are gonna be playing the same beta that you are. cs classic is a mix of all the betas, and it doesnt interfere with 1.5. Thats why this mod was made, and it didnt screw anything up.

A) The LANGames downgrader leaves your current HL dir intact. Furthermore, once you use it, you're free to have separate folders for all betas before 6.5. For betas after, you can put them in a separate folder in your current HL folder. If you're still trying to find an excuse for CSC, you're going to be disappointed. There are none.



B) Any sane person who's familiar with the song and dance of upgrade patches being less reliable than full patches ends up backing up their HL dir anyway.

i played it and didnt like it much, mostly because i cant bunnyhop. i AM using the glock model from it as my 1.5 model tho... some of the models are pretty cool, but w/e, if you can still bunnyhop, go play this mod, you'll have fun.

i only play it cuz i think its fun. and i know a lot of you hate it, so if thats the case, play 1.5 or try your luck finding a good server with the official beta version that you want to play.. simple



i played csc last night and had a LOT of fun. and there were only 8 servers up. now there are 40 :)

You mean the netcode that is extremely unfair to HPB? Seeing as the fastest pinging CSClassic server out there is 150ms (me = westcoast) that would be a terrible idea. Try sniping someone with a ping > 100 with old netcode. You have to line up your hsots ahead of time, making it tottaly infeesible for those spure of the moment jump out in front of you and pick em off type situations. The old netscode sucked ass.



Btw i have a low latency DSL line, but it's not going to help with pingage on a slow cable modem server in crapville wisconsin.



The new netcode makes online play playable.

Well, I can't complain about the people that don't like this mod. I started playing CS at 1.1, and I do like CS-Classic. But hey if people don't like it then they don't have to play it. Let them post their feeble opinions, it's all the same to me.
