Militia 2 Updates

Over at CS Movies, The_Family_God has posted an update about his upcoming movie Militia 2. He mentions that he recently spoke with Erik Johnson and Valve software is supporting, Militia 2. It doesn't end there, however...

When Valve said "support" I thought it only meant a nice pat on the back, but I was wrong. They have decided to help me in creating some difficult movie effects. This involves some programming on their part.

I want to say that I was really suprised these guys even cared about counter-strike movies in general, and how they're actually helping out! Thanks Valve, a nice show of support for your community.

Very nice, indeed.



The_Family_God also sends word that this will, of course, cause some delay in the final movie but I think we can wait a bit longer for some nifty Valve programming.

Milita 2 is going to be sweeeeeeet. This is just another example of how Valve is a great company, because most any other corporation would crack down on this supposed 'illicit use of copyrighted material' or something dumb like that. Props to Valve & Family_God!

I wonder if Valve helping out with the movie is a PR stunt or if they genuinely want to help...I certainly hope it's the latter, especially considering that of many opinions voiced on this page there seem to be quite a few people who think badly of Valve and suspect the former.

I concur with -Dice. Valve is really showing their support on this one. I hope if they do decide to use voice acting, that it is better than the original's.

I have faith in both Valve and The_Family_God. I think a little more waiting to the already (three times, was it?) delayed release is just fine. Surprises make me giddy!

I hope it has more opera music. The coolest part of the original was when the L337 Krew guy knifed the CT at the monitors. That was great.
