There are 3000 british troops and 4000 american troops stationed at Bagram Airbase, hardly a vast difference in numbers.

It would be like me asking why the UK didn't help us after the Oklahoma bombing (which, by the way, killed more people in a single day than the IRA had in three decades).



The numbers at an occupied airfield mean nothing. First of all everything has basically ended, second they are helping to occupy it and not using it as a forward air command strategic center super duper.



I don't even know why you try to defend the UK. I'm not some ignorant American. Simply put, we have a coalition to show that we are not lone cowboys trying to run the world. The European, English, and Australian involvement in the Afghanistan conflict have been minimal. I'm sure it's appreciated. The UK press is just acting like this is the UK's war, which is all good and well for nationalism but isn't all that true.



These nations are helping themselves by siding with us, it's not like our armed forces simply faded away after two towers fell. Give me a break, it's a political move, not the allies vs the axis.



We will need support to invade Iraq and for that we will need a coalition, like 1991, to get UN and world approval.



It's not like I dislike the UK at all. I'm just being honest. It's not a bad thing that you're not the main force behind the "coalition."



btw I know I come off sounding mean, I just type in a dry manner. Trust me I love everyone in the world, I'm just saying what I think is the truth!

The simple fact is that wen it comes to wars, the uk kicks u yanky ass all the way. come on, u couldnt even kill some indians with bow and arrors and who did u call in?, the british. and rizzuh, if u say freindly fire happens in every war, why dont we hear about it from other countrys, u used agent orange on ur own men in vietnam (probly spelt wrong)

Just remember kids the US army greatly outnumbers every other army in the world, the USMC on its own is bigger than the entire British Army, Airforce and Navy put together. So it doesnt really matter how good the SAS are they're easily outnumbered by whoever you think they can fight 'blind-folded'.



One of the things I dislike about Afghanistan is the fact America went there, scattered the Taliban, got bored and then left, leaving the country in chaos for the British Army to police from all the new Warlords 'till a new government could be put in place.

In airsoft, the weapons are all weapons made on exact 1:1 scale and almost exactly resembles real weapons 'cept airsoft guns uses gas (maybe electricity) and the guns' bullets do not kill (leave bruises maybe). Well Yanky Doodles may have a bigger army, but have u ever read "Bravo Two Zero" 8 men Vs the whole of iraq (or whatever country) and i know only 3 men came back, but they left 250 men dead and wounded in there path.



Also, your "bigger" army wont b able to cope will they, there aint very many Mac Donalds out in the wilderness now is there, thats where British Forces Surpass all otheres in the world, they are trained to survive in any climate, anywhere in the world, unlike US troops who are trained to live in the kitchen of Mac Donalds (with Night Vision goggles i mite add) .

omg talk about changing the subject, hehe look m8. Were Talkin about battle here the bottom line is : British Troops Dont Rely on ANYTHING atall. US army have so much dumb equipment that your misions become a complete liability and usually fail because it breaks down. The most complicated piece of equipment the Royal Marine commando's take on missions is literally a radio (or the boat if ur bein picky).



The Facts are, that probably about less than a quarter of the American army could actually make it into the Royal Marine Commando Regiment and Definately not the S.A.S.



Im jus tryin to get at the quality of our troops surpasses yours hands down.



A great example of american operations turning brown and hitting the fan is "Black Hawk Down" (great film [And directed by an englishman mite i add]) if ur guys hadnt insisted on usin 38 blackhawk helicopters in an area full of rockets, maybe ur army would have sucha bad "gung-ho" reputation eh?

The only reason the British Army doesnt have any dumb equipment is because 'we' cant afford it and the equipment we do have is crap, first aid kits, munitions and rations past their use by date. And what about the SA80 although now its had allot of money pushed into its re-development but we've been using it for years and its ultimately shit. The SAS dont even use it, they go for the better made American M16.

...anyways the Ghurkas are the best fighitng force in the world but ultimately it doesnt matter how well trained you are or how hard you are a bullets going to kill you no matter what army you belong to.
