Ok ok, if the Yanks are so tough, why the hell dont THEY go and rescue THEIR troops when they get into deep shit with Al quaida. S.A.S have jus rescued 4 of ur guys who were captured, British troops havent been captured and we wouldnt turn to (as u put us) the little pansy down the road, we go do it our bloody selves.

      Think thats that ass wupped

Like the popular modification, or mod, of Half-Life known as Counterstrike, the army version allows up to eight soldiers to go into virtual combat at any one time.

        eight eh? hmmm.

The troops work as a unit, moving about a simulated environment to track down and confront an enemy.

A UNIT??? Never seen one of those on CS before.. is that a new skin?

Track down? How do you track bunny hops?

Confrount? Is this the mod with the Jerry Springer option where ct's and t's slag each other off for camping, bs hs and... (I just can't rant like rze)

Similarly, a typical Counterstrike game pits two teams of four players against each other, with one side playing terrorists and the others the counter-insurgent troops.

        four eh? sif

"It's clear to us - particularly me as a military observer - that these guys are really engaged in what they are doing; it is not just a game played across a keyboard and a mouse. They want to succeed just as they want to in real training."

LOL as a military observer... omg omg -go the military..

        Edit:

Australian SAS are the best in the southern hemisphere. I'm not going to get into an argument with a pom or yank but they are probably the best or as good [for those of you out there with sensitive SAS feelings :)] as the British. However it is all very speculative so meh.

The sas are so hard trained, the exercises they practice rarely come up in real war.

              hard as nails, m8.

              almost as hard as me.

i agree that playing paintball would be much more suitable for training/ i find it hard to belive the UK is doing this/ while it is not an excuse to sit around and play cs all day it wont really have any actual physical benefits/ i really dont think 3D or rs would be able to hold a colt or aim even tho they are good at cs/

Quick, someone post a "comment" about the S.A.S using

                  "OGC 10.0 UK Version"

But on a serious note, i agree with the post about Operation Flashpoint being used. I can't wait to see our S.A.S boys attempting bunny hopping and complaining about the "damn yank updates that do **** all"

We may have the best tactical force in the world, but sadly our schooling system isn't quite up to the mark. m8.
I live in the US and used to live in Britain and I can tell you that schooling is much much better over there than here, even though the Americans spend more money on schools. I would estimate about 25% of the people leaving high school at my school cannot write an entire paragraph without making a grammar flaw so serious as to make a sentence unintelligable. I don't recall anyone having problems like that in Britain and they were 4 years younger than hs seniors. Oh well, I went to a grammar school (not what you think) though, so :/

I didn't actually insult the British but I guess that's beside the point.

I was being sarcastic, part of the internet generation where grammatical flaws are part of the culture.
