The Germans needed a sniper rifle, and they worked with the G3A3 (a G3 with a new flash suppressor and drum rear sight, plus a plastic butt and handgrip instead of wood) to do so. Their first attempt was the G3A3ZF introduced in 1964, which was just the base G3 with a teloscopic sight.



In 1973 (26 years before the release of CS) came the G3SG/1, heavily modified from the G3 model. It had a new trigger, butt stock, and bipod. Also, the SG/1 employed a new kind of roller-delayed blowback action, which uses a piston but no gas-bleeding, to enhance accuracy. The SG/1 also has a mounting rail for a Zeiss 1.5-6x scope.



So, the G3SG/1 replaces the G3A3ZF, which was a G3 with a scope. Or, as it was a highly modified G3A3, it replaced that weapon.

Im sticking with my three guesses

Number 1 because the G3 definatelyreplaced the SIG550 before 1.0 came out



Number 2 because I have a screenie of the Sig552 firing in a pre-beta test



Number 3 because in RL the G22 was replaced by the G3

Heckler & Koch also made the HK32A2, a G3A2 chambered to take the Russian 7.62 x 39mm cartridge, the HK32A3, an HK32A2 with a retractable butt, and the HK32KA1, a carbine with a short barrel and retractable butt. None of the above ever went into production, but the G3SG/1 did. Therefore, the G3SG/1 replaced the HK32 series, as it was placed in production.

Dirty Goldeneye 007 "guns": PP7, Dostovei, Klobb, "KF7 Soviet" (lololol), "Phantom" (lolololol), D5K Deutsche, Cougar Magnum, chop!, generic sniper rifle, some kind of assault rifle, remote/timed/proximity mines! Lazahs, grenades, grenade launchers. Crazy mounted machine guns, that l337 rocket launcher, that really cool watch magnet and laser thingie.
