i don't get this! i've spent 20 minutes + looking for this answer. it just doesn't seem to be anywhere. the question states "What sniper rifle did the G3/SG-1 replace before the release of Counter-Strike?". Notice how it says 'before'. I looked and looked and can't find anything that says what weapons they were going to use before beta 1 came out. maybe i should get credit for trying hard :)



anyways, this is my first post, and i hope i post some more.



maybe i should just go ahead and start guessing like alot of the other posters.

I think this is a friggin trick question...



I remember reading about the weapons of CS and when they were introduced... I really don't remember reading about the G3/SG-1 replacing anything...



If you can remember when the G3/SG-1 was introduced, you should be able to know the answer...



And no it's not the SG-550, that was introduced for 1.0, I should know, that's when I finally got CS on my home computer.

You tell me, how the f*** could it be replacing anything? Unless you knew what Gooseman was cooking up pre-beta 1, I think this question is next to impossible to answer...
