    Paranoia Explained

SoGamed, the "revived" Geekboys, has produced a new article. "The Config Paranoia" discusses, well, the paranoia concerning configs! What a perfect title for a very good article.
Its other commands, like gl_picmip, that creates debate. In this command you can gain some fps on low-end computers, but at the same time your graphics gets very blurry. Some suggest this blurriness is an advantage; others say it's a disadvantage. So, who are right in situations like these? The "default-claimers", or the ones defending the use of the command with just that; it's a command in the game, thus you're allowed to change it, since it is not in anyway as clearly abusive as gl_max_size. Who's right?
    Let the paranoia continue.

all of you guys are f'king whiners, these are all simple console commands that HL Guard disables.

Just play on HL Guard servers or go cry to valve about config "hacking", which isn't hacking its actually text editing :)

Interesting article I suppose... but that is definitely the ugliest webpage I have ever seen. It looks like they took about 5 minutes to make it...

It could've gone further and actually try to look at what makes a cheat a cheat (OGC is a cheat, yet custom zoom Xhairs are not. z_max was definitely a cheat, but sensitivity is not. One of these things is not like the other...). What WAS touched upon was thought out and nicely written.

The design is part of the charm. Everything's VERY easy to find, mostly because there's no superfluous crap in the way. "Whee, i can make a rollover button to navigate my site with my warez copy of photoshop! Look, it's chrome/steel/some ambiguous piece of techno pseudo-art shit!"...who cares. That there be a man's webpage.

it is supposed to look like that. no flashy-ass graphics, just simple text and some simple ascii art. you're obviously one that did not use the bbses back in the day. ahhh INDEX, Serendipity, Serious Fun, Zone-X ... all on my 1200bps...... how i miss those days.. door games (L.O.R.D!).. pcboard.. being a remote sysop... zmodem! ymodem! kermit!!! jesus... why did it all end?! the humanity! god bring it back! TheDraw ACiDDraw (which is still around and i love it more than TD, but TD had cool ascii fonts).

down with wildcat! pcb 4 life!
