It is part of STEAM. CS will be steam only with the release of 1.6

You're saying Valve is flipping off all non-broadband CS players? Seems highly unlikely

STEAM will be faster then downloading two 100MB files to play one mod. It only downloads the files you need. It was broadband only during the beta because it downloaded everything for stress testing.

so, if i get you correctly, you have to have steam to get 1.6 but u must have broadband to make steam work properly. but u also said it was broadband only during the beta version. so does that mean that us 56kers can use steam, when it gets out of the beta version?



also, i agree that steam is a bunch of bullshit. :) and i have tryed to use it on my 56k. i jut ignored the "broadband only" signs. :)

On that note, to make F1 and F2 rebindable go to your Half-Life or CS retail directory, open the valve subdirectory, and then the cl_dlls subdir. Rename the GameUI.dll to something else, like GameUI.bak (so it's easy to remember). These keys will be used for Tracker and the Viewdemo command in future versions.
