I think it's a pretty good M4 replacement and it was once in my models folder for a long time. Everything of this M4 is just fine although the clipping is a bit obvious.

Banana mentioned that "The animations are unfortunately the defaults" which is not a problem for me at all. I love default animation. Also, the silencer is just ok, not "pencil thin" at all. This is worth 8+/10 in my opinion.

not a bad m4 replacement, but i do remember the original, and it seemed to kick way more ass, maybe because i was used to bad textures anyway. Any w00t, this replacement probably isn't that special thing your looking for and I would not choose it, but some1 PLEASE GET THE ORIGINAL Colt XM AS SOTD, i lost mine...

I think the main problem with the animation being the defaults is simply that, if you dramatically change a model, but leave the animations as the defaults, things just look weird. In this case, it's the silencer grab that looks bad, due to the gun length change. I've seen other guns (some SG552 replacements come to mind) where the receiver was moved forward on the gun, but the animations not updated from the defaults. The result is the hand grabbing the old position, sticking fingers through the dead middle of the new clip, and pulling it out in the most unnatural-looking way imaginable.



Anyway, great model, crappy animations, just like the review said. Man, we really have all become spoiled with animated straps, haven't we? :)
