CS1.5 non-changes

We still can't jump much in next week's new Counter-Strike version..

There will be no additional changes to the walkspeed or jumping in CS 1.5.

VALVe's Doug Lombardi responded with this to CS Extreme's simple question. Without fixing these 'problems,' as some might call them, CS may lose many players who are unhappy with CS 1.4. Thanks to Garmer for submitting.

the truth is that all the skilled players wanted the pistol jumping away where newbies would jump around with deagle and hit hs. Good that it's away and hope it stays away forever.

I like the 1.4 .... makes it more realistic.. I don't want to play a team based game, that is nothing more than a death match game with teams.. I want it to be realistic to a point.. Keep jumping the same as it is! 1.4 for Life. hehe... j/k

I actually prefer the 1.4 jumping, but saying you want it for realism is just dumb.

you call jumping then being slowed down drasticly realistic??

if they dont change jumping or walking they should atleast change the headshot boxes back to the way they were before.

eh, i guess saying i like the jumping in 1.4 is overdoing it, but it grows on you after a while. i guess the walkspeed and jumping does make it more "realistic" in that if one jumps, it might take half a second to regain full speed running again while wearing body armor and carrying multiple weapons and grenades. but from what i've gathered, not many people enjoy full-on realism in a mod which is why i think that CS fans like CS because it has the "best of both worlds". "Both worlds" being the realistic one and the one that allows someone to accomplish incredible feats such as wiping out an entire group of terrorists armed only with a desert eagle. oh my god, i've rambled on long enough, haven't i? lol

How can you say that is realistic?!?!?! Do any of you go outside some time? Unscrew yourself fromt he swivel chair and go to your yard. Run then jump you dont freaking slow down! This whole jumping thing rewards campers and make awp whoring so much easier. The camper behind the box now has an advantage cuz the guy cant jump around the corner.
