The latest Valve anti-cheat module is giving a lot of false positives. "People running in software are generating false positives right now," explained Erik Johnson on the HLDS mailing list. He says that Valve is working on a fix and should have it out by tonight.
Either play on un-secure servers or stop running software mode (Settings -> Video Settings -> Video Modes). It should be noted that software mode is quite possibly the slowest and ugliest graphical setting. If you have a 3d card you simply shouldn't use it.
This may not be the only false positive that Valve is encountering, some players are still getting falsely detected in OpenGL mode. Make sure that the server has rebooted. If that doesn't work, you may have to wait until an anti-cheat update.
Update: Here's the word from Eric Smith. The update has been released:

We've updated the security modules again. Your Counter-Strike servers should update themselves automatically. If you find your servers are suddenly having problems (i.e. clients can't connect), try restarting the servers. There have been some situations where the servers and clients got into a state where they can't communicate properly (which falsely detects the client as a cheater).I'm glad they fixed it so quickly, but I'm sure many are angry that it had to be fixed in the first place.
NOTE: These latest security modules should prevent the false positives being generated by clients running in software mode. Please take into account that we've had problems with false positives when considering whether to permanently ban a player who was detected.
. I feel so lonely. But also, I congratulate Valve for creating this anti-cheat stuff, because it seems to be working efficiently.
