Merc Pack 2.2

And another version of the Mercenary Pack has been released. Now at version 2.2, it's much smaller than before:

• removed all maps and map related files
  
  
• upgraded to v14.1 of rze's cs helper
  
  
• added 7 new player skins
  
  
• added the following tools: half-life logo creator and textures sdk
  
  
• added new blood, com and led sprites
  
  
• added new crosshairs for all scoped weapons
  
  
• switched to a faster, more efficient installation wizard
  
  
• removed various redundant files making the pack as small and streamlined as possible.

I switched to Steam, and Steam doesn't support custom modells :/

I tried v2.1, it had some nice models.., but I like more the default weapons with their sounds :) If I install a custom pack, I never know the sounds.. And that is annoying, when you think the guy have a Glock, and he kill you with AWP :)

This is just 45mb, 2.0 was around 140 with maps :p

i have merc pack 2.0, i regret having it on my comp just because i like the original HUD better and some of the guns are just dumb looking/sounding.

All I ever use in Merc are the sounds. I'm not crazy about the included sprites and crosshairs, and the models are a bit too heavy on my framerate, but the sounds are better than any stand-alone sound pack I've seen. I can understand FLeKO's point about unfamiliar sounds, but I've been used to them for quite a while (and most of the weapon audio is MUCH more immersive and true-to-life, particularly the subbies -- the P90 included in C-S sounds more like a crack-fed Thompson).

the big question: does it have an un-installer. don't tell me to back up my files. i'm not a newb. i know how to back up my files. i just like the ease of uninstalling it.

Does anyone know where I can find some High Poly Skins? What I mean is they are the normal skins but with higher poly count (makes them look lots better like better graphics) I can't seem to find them anywhere... if anyone can be of some help I would appreciate it... Thanks.

Thank you for your help, but that site doesn't have what I'm looking for. I'm looking for original models that are high poly count. so they are the same thing except look "prettier".

you want the exact same model? I sorta know what ur talkin about . there are some of those though not specifically in any single site or download. If u want high poly skins go download the Cs Update pack ( csupdate.fol.nl) ..but I think u gotta wait til version 3.1 comes out till u can use it with 1.4. that pack has not the exact same models...but similar enough and in my opinion look more realistic and better.
