Yah, thats what my guess is. Better anticheat = less/no cheaters = FUN FUN FUN!
Just a little problem for the 56kers out there to download another update, but maybe this one won't be so bad, though I don't have any download problems for I have CABLE! :-PComment

At least, that's what I THINK I remember from my Sociology GCSE...
But in the case of a software developer like Valve I'm not so pessimistic, I believe that they do make an impact if the response is large enough. Of course they're easy to fake but if they're backed up with uproar in messageboards, chat rooms, email etc it can only help add crediblity to the masses.Comment

omg miss anti whinner is complaining! FLAMXOR! I hope they do make some nice big changes just for you. Of course they are too stupid to change the jumping back cause CS is all about makig money. That is why I am POSITIVE, that in a year or two in whatever verison, you will have to pay for CS monthly or yearly.

maybe they will fix another oddity in cs (and other mods).
you cant type a percent (%) sign: its comes up as a space.
if you change your name to it, it either 1.kicks you from the server or 2.changes your name to unnamed

"Obviously your marketing genius has uncovered a giant conspiracy by Valve to piss off the old school players and force a monthly charge down our throats. The only games that make you pay monthly fees are the massively multiplayer online ones, and they do that to help the server costs. Did I miss something on the elite zimzap-only forum that said they were planning on shifting CS into a MMOFPS? That's the only way they could get anyone to pay a monthly fee; by setting up their own servers and making it impossible for others to do it.
Also, you say they care only about making money (apparently a horrible goal in a capitalistic economy). However, the recent massively multiplayer games have had horrible launches that absolutely murdered any kind of fanbase they had prior to that, not to mention the fact that CS has a huge amount of players which would require an even larger server setup. This kind of thing would cause them to lose money. But you already knew that, since you've got it all figured out.
Finally, I don't understand why you say that they changed the jumping to get more money. Most likely it was changed because a majority wanted it that way. The reason it seems like everyone hates the jumping is because the only people talking about it are the ones bitching. I'm not sure about you but I don't remember the last time I told 10 of my friends (I don't really have 10 friends; I'll just get that joke out of the way now) to go and buy a game because the jumping is really cool.

Umm maybe your forgetting CS is a mod. Do you see DoD selling by itself? No. The original CS team sold out to get some money. Now figure this out. Most people are too stupid to buy HL then download CS and just buy CS. Newbies get helped by all the new features in 1.4 CS sells more because its more n00b friendly. Do they care about the people who bought it already? No because they have the cash.
