As promised, a month after CS 1.4: What type of jumping do you prefer (1.3 or 1.4)? You guys have had time to adjust or maybe even find out that the change is bad.

believe it or not, i now prefer 1.4 style. Don't castrate me JUST yet...see, I was among the many who hated 1.4.. I thought it had butchered the game. But after a month of adjustment, I've started playing a lot again, playing matches and the like - and it's fun. The lack of jumping adds a whole new tactical level to the game, and it's now more about who can sneak around and be careful and surprise than who can rush and take out 8 guys by hopping around. My only gripe still would be the fastswitch being returned, but other than that, 1.4 is great.

i love the 1.4 jumping and ever since i got killed by the first deagle hopper i was waiting for valve to put somehting like this in.



the only thing i dont like about it is the terrorists can now get there faster than you can in italy, when you go through the window into the apartments. i think some of the maps need to be adjusted or somefing

Maybe you should have added another option in the poll like something inbetween 1.3 and 1.4? I don't care that bunnyhoppers are gone, never had a problem with them anyways but the current jumping system is too restrictive in other ways. There were plenty of other options available to do the same thing but better.

1.4 jumping is back... Did it affect italy that much? no not really, yes you need new tactics cuz the timing is different, but t's rushing middle on italy are now slower too... stop whining and get used to it, over all it makes way more sense.. besides alot of jumps you can bypass the slow down, legeally without cheating, if you know how the jump/fall system works.. figure it out...

Well since I have matches I've adjusted but there are still key parts of each map which get screwed by this. I still want 1.3 jumping, walking, and fast switch back...
