m2 week: family_god

Militia2 Week continues today after Tuesday's interview with Mojo. Militia2, you might remember, is the sequel to the popular in-game CS movie, Militia1. It will be released fairly soon (as today's interview reveals), but be sure to come back tomorrow for the exclusive trailer.



Today, RockSteady interviews The_Family_God, the writer, director, and musical genius behind Militia1 and 2. This interview has a total of 10 new images of the movie and includes shots of a second vehicle (the first is a functional helicopter). Here are the first two questions:

CS-Nation: What can we expect from Militia2?



The_Family_God: You can expect a lot more action scenes. There's also plenty of creative work being shown off by mapper Mojo. Besides technical improvements of resolution, co lour, and camera tricks, the storyline is much more versatile.



CS-Nation: Is there an official release date for Militia2?



The_Family_God: We're hoping sometime during the first week of June.

Yea, TFG is a good guy. He's a great director/composer/editer too.

Hmm, I wonder if they'll release the Militia2 map with the chopper and APC.. Man, I miss the APC.

I can't wait to see what The_Family_God has in store for us. Militia Part 1 was fantastic, an utterly original take on the cs-movie genre (and it didn't involve kids with water guns!)



I have high hopes for Militia 2, but also I'm confident The_Family_God can live up to them.

What was cool about Militia1 was that it came out of no where and blew everyone away with how good it was. I love this info and I am sure it will live up to the hype.

It most likely will be much better. Knowing FG's superior slow-motion editing skill, shots like this one will be dramatic and keep you on your toes. Nail-biting action.

RockSteady, that was a really thorough interview and an excellent article. I enjoyed the inclusion of FG's "rules list" as a side panel. Impressive work!



As for FG and m2 themselves... all I can say is that I can't wait! I'm on a 56k, but I swear to god if he made a file 2gigs in size, I'd dedicate my online time to downloading it. I guess you could say I'm a pretty big fan



In addition, I'd love to see Mojo's cs_militia mod released to the public. I can image the pointless fun I'd have flying around in a helicopter and driving the APC (like the good old beta 7 days.. ah how I remember running people down with the APC on siege).
