Planet Half-Life has posted another Level of the Week and this time, the map reviewed is de_volare. With drunken U2 fans and potatoes mentioned, you can't go wrong! Here's a sample:

Upon jumping out the plane with weapons in hand and in extremely large pantaloons, you spawn on the ground below. This is another impressive technical feat, as this had to be done without problems of telefragging or people getting stuck in each other. This kind of entrance gives the map an extra something to set it aside from the competition, and it's good to see someone with original ideas for a change.

Rainbow Six had a few custom maps made with the player jumping out of an airplane and landing in the ground. You could shoot at the enemy while in the air as well. Most were versions of the airport map where sniper rifles ruled.
