You can't open a magazine or watch cable TV anymore without catching a little tidbit about The Cyberathlete Professional League. Magazines are publishing articles about the CPL as often as video game fan sites were interviewing Randy Pitchford. Here are some articles to look for:
- the july issue of maxim will contain a short article about the "effort being made to make the cpl a legitimate sporting league."
- are you going to be traveling on american airlines to latin america or spain sometime between september 15 and december? do you like to read in spanish or portuguese about the cyberathlete professional league? if you answered yes to both of those questions you can learn about the cpl's president, angel munoz, in american airlines' nexos magazine. look for the section about successful hispanic entrepreneurs.
- wired wrote about the league in an article in their april issue.
- pc magazine recently published a short article called "gold medal gaming."
- maximum pc printed the results of the "consumate case contest" from the dallas event in december.
- here is a 56mb divx encoded movie of the cpl coverage on the screensavers, a techtv program.
- outside the lines, an espn program, included a little cpl segment recently. thats right, espn! you can download the 13.5mb divx encoded movie of that right here.
- cnn headline news interviewed angel munoz back in december. a 12mb wmv of that can be found here.
