Why do people keep saying CS is a free product? Some of the dumber people in the community(me) bought retail and have never played a single player game on the Half-Life on the comp besides the training mission or perhaps a demo of Opposing Force. Other mods are free because you can play them on Counter-strike retail or Half-Life and you don't have the option to buy them if you're stupid.



I just wrote 500 words of why I liked CS and then I realized I have no idea as to why I still play CS more than other shooters. It is just habit for me and I've put so much time into it I keep playing it.

Yeah we do realize.. its sad but we can't do anything to it anymore, so we adapt.



Play 1.4, just play, you will see its not that bad, before i was a real bunny-hopper, always jumping.. now i adapted myself to 1.4 and when one day i tried 1.3 again.. i wasn't jumping anymore, and i was still owning... then i went back to 1.4 cuz its not that bad, its the same thing for me now.

i still jump around in 1.4, so that doesent really bother me... its just that the amount of "bs" has increased, with headshot after headshot.. i dont mind headshots when you actually aim for the head, but when i see some players aimimg at the legs and getting headshots,,it just pisses me off, but then the next round starts, giving me another chance at ownage :P

You can say whatever you want how it takes more skill to aim now, but common sense will tell you, the less accurate and the more random things are, the less skill is involved and the more luck it is.



I'm tired of people stareotyping other people as bunnyhoppers because they don't like the change. Are you guys too narrow minded to understand jumping is a huge part of rushing? Jumping over obstacles, windows, boxes, anything like that will slow you down. I was not a bunnyhopper in 1.3 and I'm not in 1.4 but you have to understand that there is some strategy in jumping. There are many other ways bunnyhopping can be removed, so don't give me that it stops bunnyhopping. There are better solutions that do the same thing.



Just try to tell me a positive point about the reduced walk speed. Don't give me the standard dumbshit reply that it was a bug and the bug is fixed. If your reply is that you have perfect accuracy, you can do that with a higher running speed. Use cl_movespeedkey to edit the speed you move with your walk button.

I love the jumping 1.4, now there aren't any running/jumping/backflip in mid-air headshots. It really is a beautiful thing.
