I am very offended by classing 14 year olds as the main users of CS Hacks,

I need help, i got a dedicated server set up... how do i turn on " using anti cheat protection " in the server.cfg or whatever... thx.. + does the new cheat detection automaticaly update? so its updated..?

There isnt a cvar to set. As long as you have Secure set to "1" in your liblist.gam, you will download it automagically.

What of the rumor that people may have to start paying to play on SECURE servers? Nothing, a real idea, or just something someone was fiddling with and it dropped?



Although this upgrade is nice for server, if valve doesn't stay on top of it UA may have to continue working their programs to catch the latest and greatest cheats... boy what fun for them :/



The accusations will still be there, unless the "secure" status of the server is posted somewhere in gameplay, people won't know it's secure.

You know what I hate tho? Half-Life engine is so hackable that there will be ways our their to kick that anti-cheat goodbye. These are game developers making the hacking life easy for the users. :/ So don't keep your hopes up... Already rumors of the new OGC-x going around

Well, as one of the naysayers, good job Valve. Now just keep it up to date :).



To be honest, I don't care if you get rid of all the cheaters (would be nice, but also a huge undertaking), but if you can nail the widespread public cheats I'll be ecstatic.
