1.3/1.4 Demo Fix

SGUFT Software has released a fix to allow 1.3 demos to be played in 1.4! I have tested it out and it works perfectly. Weighing in at a small .zip file, why don't you get it?

It's old news. (to me.. CS Movies posted it way back when.)

Hopefully when a new geekplay comes out they will incorparate this into it, or something like it.

HLTV demos can be played/converted to version 1109 with the HLTV proxy that comes with the HLDS 1109c patch:



serverversion 1108

record newdemo

playdemo olddemo1 olddemo2 ...



and soon you will have nice 1109 HLTV demos. very important is to copy the old 1.3 right hand weapon models v_*_r.mdl again into your CS 1.4 cstrike\models folder, since they were removed with CS 1.4. otherwise playing these demos will not work.
