BETA Server B

[CSN NewsBot]

Thanks to Ritchey over at Counter-Server for letting us know that Valve has released the Beta "B" test version of their server for server admins only. Here's the release info:

Counter-Strike

==============

- Fixed mp_hostagepenalty not working at all.

- Fixed problem with server locking when the bomb is planted and a new player joins the server.



HLDS

====

- Linux: Fixed server freeze when using -pingboost 1.



hlds_run script

===============

- Linux: Added checking that a core file was generated when trying to do a debug.



You can download the new beta server here:

All you need to do is download the appropriate file(s) and replace your old one(s). It's always a good idea to back-up your old versions first. Clients using 1.1.0.9/1.0.0.4 should not have any problems connecting to your servers. If you have any questions, please let me know (erics@valvesoftware.com).

Argghh. I waited an hour on fileplanet last night to get the first beta. Well atleast I don't have to through that again, cheers for the username & password whoever posted it.



Lets hope valve can be as quick updating the anti-cheat as they are at releasing beta versions of hlds.
