Hey, guys! I'm off to go catch a late showing of Spider-Man (late being 9:10 PM, I'm such a loser). To those who are staying in (or just got back), a lot of stuff in the CS community has been "going down" this week, as the kids would say. It would be very, very easy to miss some of the content we've posted in the last few days. Let's recap:
Most of the todo list looks boring, but a few items stand out. Can't really spoil anything, but let's just say that a few promises from 6 months ago will come true.
Bonus to CS-Nationalists: you guys will no longer see those small button ads. Banner ads are required by our host, however. The removal of those button ads means a bit faster loading time, but generally it's just a small annoyance that is now averted. Thanks again for your generous donations.
- on monday we posted an exclusive interview with davej, the creator of dust. as per usual, we stick away from the cliched questions. this is davej's first interview in over a year.
- on tuesday we posted our members only calendar for may, 2002. i still don't know if it's supposed to be "members' only" or just "members only." perhaps some of you fancy college folk could tell me in the comments.
- yesterday we posted an interesting look at counter-strike's gameplay and popularity in deep impact. let me be the first to say that i hate reading the same thing at different sites, so i really dislike cliched articles. mr bond's article, however, is pretty unique and raises some interesting and thought-provoking questions.
