Counter-strike.nl has posted an interview with The Family God, the creator of the very popular in-game movie "Militia Part 1." They discuss how the movie was created along with what his plans are for future movies.

Kraai: When you had the idea of militia part 1 , did you write it all down? Or did u keep it in your head and just told the actors what they had to say and do?

the_family_god: I wrote it down and made real scripts. This was the only way the actors would be able to follow each scene and know what to do.

I can see what he means about Militia. It fits that roles of a "realistic" map close enough to work as a movie. Perhaps cs_747 would be a good map for that as well.

I really can't wait for Part 2! My friends and I really enjoyed the plot, camera work, and musical score. Impressive work. Good interview. What more is there to ask for? Oh yeah, part 2, of course!

Nice to see a cs movie that has some decent narrative content, at least when compared to pimply-faced 13 year olds running around with water guns, or cheezy angst-rawk played over demos of 1337 kilz. BTW, there's a 20-year ban the fade-out and the fade-in if you want to work in film, especially action genres.
