actually rizzuh it makes perfect sense. if people want to run servers that hackers can play on, let them; the hackers will all play there, and real players will go to secure servers.

from valve's standpoint, it lets them still sell copies to everyone

I just got this same error message, and I have no friggen idea why. I have it installed in linux (through wine), and I've been playing fine for almost a year. I've been playing in CS1.4 since 2 hours after release, and this message JUST started occuring. What exactly is the anti-cheat looking for that I don't have? and Yes, I've completely erased the previous install of cs and re-installed/updated. This is CS retail updated to 1.0.0.3 and then to 1.0.0.4

Okay, I've now re-installed my os (slack), wine, and CS1.4, still kicks me. I'm convinced 1.4 is broke, not me. 1.4 must die now.

Does anyone know who I can contact to find out what the anti-cheat checks for, and why it insists on not liking linux?

Will cheat detections be logged server-side, so admins can manually ban those who were detected with cheats? TIA.

I would hope/imagine so. At the time of the test it ONLY logged info to the server console, but nothing to a file.

Who knows a server with this new anti-cheat technology?

I tried that ip what is on the pic, but its not running now.

And its started now, or its already "on" on the servers without that exclamation mark ?
It's not available - yet. From what I understood they were still working out a few minor kinks but it's damn close to being ready :)

who knows, but unless valve does something about it you are probably SOL unless you duelboot everyones favorite operating system. go go go, for the good of the city!

I read the thread, and if that was the anti-cheat stopping the Xqz2 hack, then that's Excellent news.

                        GG.

Keep up the Good work :)

It may have something to do with it needing to see a valid opengl file. Not sure, just a guess.

heh, looks like they could use someone who knows how to make a web page... man why even put that page up? It probably took 15mins to make.

^ in reference to the content but the design is so... umm, boring? yet again cheaters don't deserve a good looking page.. They need to change that page to a black background and small bright red text! lmao.
