Im not sure I understand why making this map available for d/l somehow taints its chances of being official. Seems like an odd way to do things.

If everyone could dload it there would be no point in it coming out in CS. Most people would already have it and not say,

YES BECAUSE WHEN QUAKE3 SOURCE WAS RELEASED THE ENTIRE SOURCE TO THE NETWORK CLIENT/SERVER MODEL WAS ALSO RELEASED. I GUESS YOU DONT NEED TO BUY A 250K LICENCE FROM ID ANYMORE WHEN YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT OFF FILEPLANET.



Sorry, my capslock key appears to be broken. But i thought i should clear up that to this day niether the HL or Q3 network protocol have been hacked. If they had been...we would be seeing shit a hell of alot worse than wallhacks and aimbots.
