New poll: How many times have you used HLTV since the CPL 2001 World Championship? The Cyberathlete Professional League event was in early December, for reference.



Here was our super emergency CS 1.4 poll:

In about a month we'll have a follow-up which will focus specifically on jumping. Opinions may change as some players choose to adapt and others outright leave. We'll see.

I would also like to add that people who hated the walk and jump probably voted multiple times. Same thing with that online petition.

I doubt it. I can only vote once. I've never used HLTV except like the day 1.3 came out.

I originally voted no. Now, I've gotten completly used to jumping, the only thing I don't like is, for example jumping to the window in italy, that sort of stuff just doesn't work, they should have re-done these areas on all the maps.



The walking isn't even more realistic, it's less. In reality, you could move quietly while running, all you need to do is step lightly. This should be re-done as well, the walking in 1.3 I thought was adequate, it slowed you down but was completly quiet, which works as it's a game.



Sometimes you people need to look at the big picture. The jumping I hated at first, but it's very easily to get used to, and now I'm basically used to it.



Overall I like 1.4 more than 1.3. The spectator modes are done really well, and I applaud valve greatly. In my opinion the good and the bad cancel out, if I were to go back to 1.3 it'd get old, I love the spectator modes too much. But then again I'm just a normal player.



This brings up another subject. I've been playing cs since beta 7, and if my knowledge is correct there has been a petition to change every release, each time it's been ignored. Valve nor the CS team are going to take any notice to you people. Just spend the time you do complaining, on getting better at 1.4.
