When I posted my last comment (at 9am) it logged it as being posted just after 2am. So assuming it does come out at 9am (yank time) by my math that makes it 1600 (4pm) Brit time. Tonight is my CS Lan night. So I'll get it when I come in from that (should have quietened down a bit by then!) About as well as you yanks can aviod killing people fighting on the same side as you! When I served in Bosnia, all IFOR troops used to wear big dayglo panels on the top and side of their vehicles, just to stop the Americans shooting at them! The Americans weren't happy about it, but noone got shoot/bombed/killed because of it! Oh by the way, it's 4pm UK time the patch is coming out. Can't you yanks count?Comment

haha lotz and lotz of servers now have the cs 1.3 jumping ADDON for the cs 1.4 serverz.. just had to tell u guyz that.. i heard that 1.5 coming out soon or something putting back some of the crap they took out.. aka jumping.accurcay.fastswitch.etc... just had to tell you thatComment

I have to say that I and the other mambers of my clan don't like cs1.4 that much. I just get the impression that it's a mod tailor made to make the game far easier for newbies to kill those top players - you know the ones who seem to be able to dodge bullets matrix style. I've worked hard to get up to a level where i can charge 3 guys with an usp, get 1 in the head then pull out a mac10 at 4m, move so there in a line and the guy behind is shooting his m8t in the back then carve the both of them into pate with 1 15 bullet burst.
I can understand the plight of newbies since once i was one too but being able to get 20-0 when playing 2v1 is what I play this game for. Newbies learn fast and pretty soon they can handle themselves pretty well too - giving them a sense of rewardment.
The features I dislike are:
-Stagered hopping (I can still hop just as well however by having .5s pauses between hops and infact slowing me down stabalises my fire..and makes me less predictable to a newbie- much more to a pro with an ak howeversince he will just put his hair on the landing spot and say chau)
-pistol kickback (wtf: pistol kills are in my mind only second to knives and you decide to make them effectively useless - pistols were the only gun you could use when charging an opponent as supresive fire - what do you want me to do now vs that guy at lr - wave at him with my knife as he carves me up or hs me. I wouldnt mind kickback while jumping but while running is just stupid)
features i like:
- pretty much everything else so far including the anti-cheat stuff that the game now apparently has - ive certainly noticed that there are far fewer peeps around killing me b4 i even see them...Comment
