Exo has interviewed the administrators of four new CS leagues: the TGL, the FWH, the FGL, and the EGL. Here's a tidbit:
CS-Nation: Being relatively new, is it hard getting off on the right foot, and organizing yourselves?Check it out!
FWH|Rich: We are doing relatively well with organizing staff. If I had to pick the hardest thing about starting the league it would be the code involved with the website. MET, Prat, and Mike are working hard to organize it and our email systems etc.
FGL|-Jon: At first, as with most things in life, it takes a lot of dedication from the founders of the group to stay focused on their goal. Several times we have gotten quite stressed from dealing with the internal workings of the league and ended up scrimmaging other clans just to relax. Every single day until the end, we are working on our league system, perfecting the rules, site design and user interface. We try to make the FGL experience worthwhile for amateur and professional clans alike. It by no means a simple task, but we have been fortunate enough to assemble a team of experienced professionals.
TGL|-PixuL: Yeah its hard. There are so many parts that need to be organized. Site layout / site engine / making sure you got responsible, cool admins / jobs for each admins / site being updated. It gets really hard, so it is very important to have good organization down within the staff.
EGL|-Brad: Being the time we are taking to develop the league organization isn't what's holding the league back, it's the site development. The planning and programming that most go into creating such dynamic database driven web sites can be overwhelming at times. Being were a non-profit league its not always easy to find people who can devote time to helping create the site for free. We do have some extremely experienced programmers developing it but most of the staff has been picked and currently were just waiting for the website to come through.
