CPL Summer news

The Cyberathlete Professional League has posted some rather interesting news concerning the Summer Event. The major news is that the DoD tournament has been canceled. However, some news about CS was also posted:

CPL also announced that the $100,000 Counter-Strike (CS) Tournament, which will have approximately 720 competitors, will not use CS Condition-Zero (as previously announced) but instead will use the soon to be released Counter-Strike version 1.4 upgrade.

More good (or bad, depending on how you look at it) news that CS 1.4 should be released in the near future. On the other hand, this means that CS: CZ will not be out anytime soon. I blame this on Exo.

I hate 1.4, and I hear alot of clans do, so what does this mean for the clans that are going to play in the CPL, the ones that don't like it, X3 for example did not like it (not that they are together anymore). What is this goign to do to the CPL?

A lot of clans don't like 1.4 because of the jumping issue. I tend to agree with them but we will see how bad/good it is...

here will be some wcg qualifier lanparty in may, they said we will play with 1.3 there :/ but now everyone will start playing 1.4 next week and after a month 1.3 again.. bah
