Steam 4/11 Release

You see, if you wanna play the BETA-version of 1.4, you have to download steam (also called the lagg-machine), but the final release of 1.4 will be just like any other CS-release. A file that you download from fileplanet, probably called cs1314.exe or something.

I used to be a BETA-tester, but finally grew tired of steam and all lagged that followed. I never tested tracker, though, and I'm just wondering (gobd, or someone eles) is it any good?

So you use the tracker to... keep track of friends? Can u search/connect to servers with it to?

yeah you can message friends playing in other cs games or friends that are just on the internet, and you can also browse through all the cs servers without having to leave the game (that is if you like all the bugs it has with displaying server info...)

But: is it better then, let us say, All Seing Eye (which I fancy a LOT)???

cuz it doesn't bother me THAT much to have to exit a game to change server (ASE is like GSA). Also, I don't play pub. very often, and if I do, I stick to ONE server.

Ok, I play the Beta with a fast computer and cable and i think it is great. Honestly, 1.3 was full of bugs for me and twice as slow. The only thing in 1.4 that didn't work perfect was a little keyboard/mouse lag in an earlier beta. That was fixed. Tracker is a sweet program because if you know people playing cs, it is a lot easier to play with them and it can also be used from the desktop so you dont even have to start cs to join a server. Honestly when 1.4 is released I will probably still play on steam(if anyone else is there)

Well.....beside the small choice of unlaggys ervers, I think 1.4 b is GREAT. I love the new crosshair......your gun does NOT shoot any differently. Now, you can see how the crosshair changes with your movement. The accuracy has always changed, now u can see it. The jumping for me is pretty mucha neutral thing. I guess it's alright, i was a never a big jumper anyways. One thing I hate 'bout 1.4 (and it actaully isn't a 1.4 problem) is the two new mpas. I get HORRIBLE lag on them. O well, overall a great addition. Side note-----every new version everyone seems to complain, people always need something to complaina bout, can't accept change...

That crosshair is like a hack job from Rogue Spear where the crosshair expand and contract while moving.



AND BTW in CS, there are a lot of maps for you to jump..... Or you never tried jumping at all....



Did ya know, u can jump to the opposite ledge at italy which is cleverly right on top of of the small arch ( the arch at the market place ) which leads to the intersection between the long corridor and the T- juction ? Well I once camp there ( becos I was low on health :) and massacre 4 CTs walking through the arch with a para with the help of an FB. They were so engross checking their front that when I dropped an FB in front of them, they were all blinded...



Did ya know u can jump to the huge wooden crate at the CT spawn to plant the bomb in dust ????????????
