Steam 4/11 Release

The newest version of CS 1.4 beta has been released using Steam. The "update" has only one change:

• hostage auto-follow behavior rolled back to the same as 1.3.

Wow.



Another release is expected today to fix the keyboard/mouse problems people might have. I'll let you monkeys know if it is released.

IIRC, the terrorists couldn't move them (which encourages camping)

tru. I haven't ran steam for several months so i haven't played it yet, but if they DID make it so Ts can move the hostages (again, liek in 1.3) then that is just stupid. Stupid from a gameplay perspective ofcourse, not realism perspective. The CTs can't move the bombsites.

Socks what do you mean? Are you talking about how the 1.3 hosties suck? In 1.4 they follow smoothly and don't skip/fly. T's can move hostages now? I thought they just got rid of auto follow.

Mike, hostages show up on radar now so we can see them. I'm not sure if T's can move hsotages though, I'll have to check.

omfg, another beta filled with bugs and they still expect a release in less than a week, less bugs than the last but still plenty of bugs.



1. Full system lockup if i open IE after playing 1.4.

2. Tracker is now in the upper middle of the screen which is really anoying.

3. You still can't paste things into the console (worked in 1.3).

4. In-game tracker is totaly screwed, it is displaying wrong server names, telling me i need a password when i don't, telling me the wrong map is being played, telling me people there are playing on a server when no one is actually there, giving me pings that go and up down by 1000 everytime i refresh.



lol, for the last release my list of bugs was five things long, now they've cut it to four...
