Our traffic has recently blossomed so much that we now require our own separate server! This gives us much more room to grow and add new database-intensive features (forums) with much faster loading and processing times. A few weeks ago stem from GameSpy, a great guy, moved us to a separate server. Just last night, all of GameSpy started to move to our new hosting location that should have much more bandwidth. This is why we were down last night. Some of you may have DNS problems with the site and won't be able to view it until tomorrow or so, which makes me wonder how you can read this text.



Thanks to everyone who has donated! Our amount of donations keeps on increasing and I'm thankful to everyone who has donated. If you want to donate and become a CS-Nationalist, click here. Hello! Things have been slow in the news today, hopefully they'll pick up tomorrow and on Friday.



If you haven't heard yet, we're started our own chat room. We have about 40 people idling there at any given moment, but hopefully some conversation will start popping up. Join us at #csnation on irc.gamesnet.net.



Remember when CS-Nation's T-vs-CT image was on TechTV's The Screensavers? Perhaps your life doesn't revolve around my site, but the point is that Frank Nuccio of CPL fame was kind enough to send in a screen capture:

Yeah, so it's not that big of a deal. It's just nice to think that someone from one of the billions of small cable networks was kind enough to visit our site and take off all references to the site to show a render that doesn't depict Counter-Strike in the least. Actually I don't mind that much, this whole incident basically affirms that my choice to add lightning was a sound one.



We have a couple of new contests coming about. Planned prizes are some games and, a first, some Nationalist upgrades. Besides simply giving away prizes, the guy who wins the whole contest will be rewarded with either belongings from a famous person in the community (not me) or with a creation that will get many thousands of views. Sorry to keep everything secret and still build up the hype, I know it's annoying, but I can't help sharing my excitement. Both contests will be members only, by the way.



We also have a big surprise coming up next week in the way of new content.

In order to keep CAL/esports coverage a big feature of this site, new content will now be posted on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The days were previously Tuesday (CAL-Draft), Thursday (CAL-Invite game #2), and Saturday (party night with the ladies).



We've brought in kick@ss so we now have coverage for both CAL-Invite nights and the CAL-Draft night. Kick is a highly talented member of Domain of Pain, a CAL-Invite clan. Hopefully his expert opinion will lead to some awesome coverage.



This week we'll be taking a break from content work. We've done lots of stuff in last 10 days anyway (see the bottom of the post), be sure to check it out if you haven't read everything. You can expect a mailbag on Sunday, though.



Donations are still coming in. We have over 60 donors to thank. We've already given away two full games this summer and much more is on the way. I also wanted to make it clear that I'm not going to pocket any of this money because it's not enough to pay a month's rent, much less fund some sort of conspiracy to keep zimzap down.
