Laurence Norton and Co. over at Games Fusion sent word that they've updated their popular Fusion Pack, a collection of top-rated skins and models, to version 6.5. Here's the skinny on what's new in this release:

Yeah i've tried the pack and the models r sweet as thanks 4 posting this up and i will be using these new skins 4 a while longer until......

well you know better ones come out.

still a rumor, but if they decide that weapon models are files that need to be downloaded with steam, there are only gonna be the models and skins that valve give us. but with luck theyll realize that there's no need for it, and that theyd be doing the community a disservice, blah blah. only time will tell though.

I dont think they will lock any skins in 1.4.. 1.5 is another story

Are you suggesting that Valve plan to make Steam download the models every time CS is run?



Surely what they will do is keep the models/maps/sounds on the HD permanently unless they need to be updated and only download things like gameplay tweaks, authentication info and anti-cheat updates (eventually) every time.

i checked the models out with hl modelviewer, and i didnt like em... but thats different from person to person, i guess....
