I actually have this book, and me and my clan actually use their strats. The past few weeks of cal, since I had boughten the book, we used the strats and they went through quite well.



If your in a clan, GET THIS BOOK. If your just a loner it won't help you as much, but seriously...this book added 30fps for me with their variables...good shit.

I thought the book was good....provides good imformation and the m4a1, awp, deagle, usp, mp5, aug, sig, ak-47 are the only good guns mr reviewer! name one gun that is good besides that! the manual showed me lots of configuration stuff and commands that i didnt know of such as r_drawviewmodel 0 before that I was playing with the fucked models that hindered my gameplay...and strategy is useful in this book

i dont see why you should get that book. i mean, this is a game witch you are supposed to learn for yourself, and besides, you will learn just as much by yourself as if youd read that cuz you`ll NEVER EVER remember the whole book completely, especially if a guy jump out of nowhere, then you`ll never think: "hmmm...yeah right.. now i have about half a sec to...hhhmmm.. aim at he`s head while he`s jumpin around and shoot"

you just shoot, its instinct. so id rather save a little longer and buy something better.. like counter strike: condition zero..

I can understand this response, but I'd say that this strategy guide's info can still be useful. It can influence the snap judgements that you make in the heat of the game, as well as the slower-paced judgements that also occur but are no less important to make.



For instance, on a soccer team you take time during practice to talk about strategy and it will influence your decision-making on the field, whether it's a snap judgement about ball control or defense, or whether you're taking a few seconds before a corner-kick to figure out where you're gonna send it.

This is addressed in the review, you know. I was delighted to have a review on this site because the book has been quite controversial. A lot of people, like you, simply dismiss it with the same arguments. X3's map strats aren't online; it isn't the same as SAS' CS Guide.



As Exo said, they're apparently useful.



Anyway, great job RockSteady. I know it's a little different to be reading the comments now rather than making them, but I'm sure almost everyone here thought your review was good

You really need to pick up some tolerance, kiddo. I don't think god is real, but I totally respects bonds opinion. I bought the book, and found it to be very interesting. I'm probably only an average player, but I think even veterans could find some sort of usefull information within it. Some of the map strategies are very in-depth, and it could be fun to compare them to your own strategies. I mean, if nothing else, its got nice pictures and looks cool sitting on your shelf.



Anyway, I thought it was a really good read. Thats all I have to say

Nothin wrong with the book. Remember that some people are just now starting to play CS and it might help them in the beginning. Then as time rolls on and the Noobs wonder why all the hot strats they read about in the book don't seem to make it happen for them. They then realize that sometimes things just don't work out and they find themselves with another bad case of the HEADSHOT blues as i frag their skulls while running them down wit ma COLT.......Baaaaaa.....Doom on u Strat Guide reader....next round...LOL
