Fuck you "n00b", I mean some good shit with the map, that actually will make the map fun again and not some stupid AWP fest

umm, when wasnt it an "AWP fest" and actually they changed the hall leading into the T garage so it wouldnt be as easy to snipe someone comming in, making it less of an awp map.



and whoever is bitching about dust being unbalanced if one team is better then you obviously dont know that the teams switch sides half way through a match.

first off i really cant stand people that call others newbs... remember that you were at that point once and their are people who are less "newb" than yourself... secondly i cant stand people who bitch about guns... the guns were put into CS so that you could use them strategically (what a novel idea) well cept for the ump =P... ahh i think we can live with the ump... i mean watch the better players in the world... they use the awp alot... so next time you bitch about the awp or the newb cannon... just pick one up and show them whos boss

Whine whine whine with de_dust already. People say that dust is a dm map. You know what, assclowns? All maps are dm maps because we have the worst community ever made. Pick up a freaking microphone and get two friends. Instantly dust is now teamplay-friendly.



Siege, for example, is absolutely horrible. If you claim that siege is more balanced than dust, then you don't play much CS. Siege was good in, what, beta 3? Forgive me for what I'm about to say, but if more mappers killed themselves the CS download would be around 200 megs right now.

Dust is the most balanced map I think. It's the most popular map for any game ever which is a pretty cool title to hold.



My personal favorite map is as_oilrig, everyone hates it but me. AS is just cool because it's fun to assassinate someone plus they have lots of health so you need to land more than one ak headshot. I like dropping in the middle of the escort and shooting the VIP or taking out the escort. Not to mention how much fun it is to awp a vip in the head. They REALLY need to fix it so you see blood when you awp the VIP in the chest. Not knowing if you hit him is so frustrating. Being a CT on oilrig does suck though. It doesn't suck nearly as much as being a CT on siege(typing kill in console gets quicker results) but it still isn't easy.



My other favorite maps would be de_dust2, de_aztec, and cs_mansion.

And you obviously don't know that the vast majority of CS players never play a proper match. Most play for fun, and there's no fun in a match where your team gets repeatedly destroyed. It makes no odds anyway, because you've missed my point. The map is on such a knife edge that whichever team has a slight advantage can own no matter whether they are CT or T. This means that in Pub play it is very hard to find a server on which Dust will be fun.



Cue "You should play on LANs or private servers".



Still, the map has done it's job well.... it's just time to retire it. Inferno, Dust2, even Nuke.... they are better DE maps. Not siege, mind. Rizzuh's right there. Horrible map.

ack calm down with the flame wars... different maps serve different purposes... dust is a great pub map cuz its not too big but is awful for matches in my opinion... seige is a fun map... fankly there isnt a map that i really hate cept for awful custom maps where the spawn points are fucked and im not a big fan of survivor but ill play it... what people need to learn is different people have different opinions and that you have to except that... i mean yes most of us are sick of dust but hey theres people out there that want to play it and damn, im not gonna stop them... now that your sick of my constant un-biasness ill be quiet now =P

Some of the best rounds I've ever played were when I was on the disadvantaged side of an unbalanced map. Like being the CT in assault AND being outnumbered, and still winning...

No way! Oilrig is my favorite too. That makes two of us out of 999999 CS players. I disagree that being CS on oilrig sucks though. There's so much pressure and so much relief when the VIP makes it out safely.



The reason people hate VIP maps are because they FORCE you to play as a team.

I think Dust is possibly the most fair and unbiased maps ever made. It is perfect in its timing, the tactics are simple to learn and enjoyable to play. either team can and do dominate and its suited for all weapons.

It's funny how people say they hate dust when dust and dust2 are the 2 most popular multiplayer maps EVER MADE in the history of computergames.



110 million minutes of play a week. That is an astronomical amount, for any game. It's also served as a benchmark for a lot of other cs maps, sadly few were able to get the timing as good as dust has.



If it was gone from CS you'd all moan even more than you do already.
