TheHunkster...bleh, im sorry but HL mods are done with as far as i'm concerned. CS is the only thing keeping me here. But look at the engine. It's so limitted compared to what's out there and what's coming. I just can't get excited about anything HL mods anymore.



Besides there are CS clones all over the place for many different games and none of them add up to the gameplay of the original.

Certain commands (such as the ones to toggle the vgui menus off) now have an underscore before them.



So instead of "setinfo vgui_menus 0"



it is now "setinfo _vgui_menus 0"



There ya go. Its in the documentation somewhere.

HL2 uses the same engine as TF2 and TF2 is not even out yet so.... do ya get what I mean...

Take a look at most of the "people" who claim the 1.4 jumping system caters to newbies. Ever notice their general inability to operate the caps lock or punctuation keys properly? Or form a rant based on anything other than a delusional reconstruction of CS' "history"? E.g. the fairytale that jumping is actually beneficial against competent AWPers?

Nope.....becos I rarely get hit by an AWM when I jump....1 fellow SHOT 20 .338 rounds to get me and he was a clan player... and I was not even bothering to shoot back becos I was trying to knife him.

LETS TALK ABOUT SOMETHING IMPORTANT:

Look at Steam's online broadband operating model. Compare it to ANY OTHER per use system. Notice something??? Valve/Steam can capture all of the consumer surplus in the market by implementing a two-part tariff system. Simply, they charge you almost all you'd be willing to pay to install it, and then charge you small per use fees to soak up the rest of your demand. And you people are worried about cheating? Try worrying about getting ripped off.
