IGN CS: CZ Preview

The 189th CS: CZ preview/interview with Randy Pitchford has been posted by IGN. It is 5 pages long and actually has some new stuff. For example:

"We also have 160 characters that we've made for CZ. First we did all of the uniforms that the real units use and we started working on the faces. We got everybody at Gearbox, did all of their faces, and we weren't even a quarter of the way there. We had to start pulling people in like the UPS guy. They just had to sign the release form and then the UPS guy was in the game." We saw the UPS guy. He looked pretty tough...for a UPS guy.

IGN has posted a previous report of CS: CZ from the GDC. This one is much longer and more detailed.

There isn't a whole lot about the original CS that Gearbox will really be changing. The same sickeningly addictive gameplay will still be in tact. Of course, there will be some normal changes that you would expect to find in any of the downloadable patches released for the product, but you'll also find more than that this time around including some new weapons like the Galil, M60, Law Rocket, Molotov Cocktail, Machete, Balistic Shield Gun, and the afore mentioned Famas. Perhaps the coolest thing about each of these weapons is the research and interest that went into them before being included in the game.

I thought the LAW rocket wasn't going to be in the multiplayer version of CSCZ?

I hope peopel don't gun run the LAW if there is a multiplayer mode. I hope there isn't a multiplayer mode at all if it isn't seperate from regular CS servers.
