Haha...i love havin' deagle run out, but usually I just sit and wait after shooting 1-2 bullets of my USP and the guy'll idiodically shoot @ the wall I'm standing behind and miss me, then i pop out and clock em. I happen to like "word" just as an akward word to say...since i'm not black.

A tactic that would be useful is temporary camping. This may sound bad, but camp until half of your team and half of the other team is dead. Usually around this time, most of the enemies have 60 - 40 health left. What does this mean? This means the scout is like an AWP now. One shot kill. And you save money!
Ummm I really disagree with this strat...everyone on the team's gotta do their part and if u start camping like that, then your team's basically down a man from the start.
You may say one person doesn't make a big difference. But not only does a single person mean your team has one more player to even things out (which in itself is critical) but if everyone used this strategy then the entire team would be hosed.
I say be a man. Earn your kills.Comment

Stupid guide !!!!
Scouts are meant for running around, and picking off people all over the place........ not camping. I use the scout almost ANYWHERE becos it is light and fast, easy to shoot ( I am serious, it is easier than THAT 3 letter 1-liner ) and packs a punch....
Walk into the middle of a firefight and unzoom and cap that unsuspecting bastard in the head or torso, most of the time they should be killed with 1 shot.... especially when everyone has assault rifles and are either banging or spraying at each other and lobbing grenades at each other... Also, by this time most people are paranoid by THAT 3-word 1 liner, and spend most of the time looking for the gay camper with THAT 3-word 1 liner and will not be aware of the slient and deadly Scout, so go in the fight and wreak some silent havoc...
So instead of being gay and camp like those with THAT 1 - liner, go out nail those guys with THAT 1 Liner and kick ass in style.
BE A MAN, WALK INTO THE FIGHT, EARN YOUR KILLS !!!!!!!Comment

Oh well, didn`t really pick up any new tacs.
I like the scout cause its a fair sniper weapon,
NOT because its some "alternative" shotgun!
AWM whOOOre!!
Nuthin like a good knifing! :)
But i`m not positive that running with the knife is any faster
than with a pistol...
Is anybody 100% sure aboud it??
Please, enlighten me.Comment

im an avid scout fan and was quite dissapointed to read the scout advice. to me it was all wrong. it advised you not to use the zoom function for one thing. to me the zoom is brilliant. when you play de_museum and are a CT especially the zoom can be a life saver. there was also no mention of leading the target. the fact that he didnt advise people to aim at the neck area to increase the chances of a headshot was also dissapointing. it should have been mentioned to always listen for threats behind u aswell and to remember your hand gun for close quarters battles. if this person truly does use the scout im surprised they get any lills at all with it. i got 6 kills in a round of museum last night, 5 of which were with the scout, 3 them headshots, and a pistol kill to win the round for my team. none of these were shot gun like kills! i mean credit to the guy for creating the guide but i think its bad advice.

I can see running at the begining with your knife out but after that you shouldnt keep pulling the knife out when you go to run somewhere. Example: if someone is shooting at you and your running away dont pull the knife and try to run away as fast as you can to get out of the way of his shots, pull out your pistol and run backwards taking the same path you would have had if you were running facing forward but at the same time shoot your pistol at the enemy.
or
If you here a fire fight down and around the conner dont pull your knife in atempt to run to the fight as fast as you can because there is always that chance you can run into an enemy unexpectedly and it wil cost you.Comment

Until those very same game designers implement some kind of "idle timeout" script to kill players who remain stationary for too long, I will continue to "camp." Because it is a legitimate, effective strategy that works.
All I have to say on this is if you camp on a map where you should be atempting to rescue hostages or should be atemting to plant the bomb then your tactics are bad. stoping in one location for a limited amount of time can be tactical so that player shouldnt be called a camper. Snipers arent campers when they are actually sniping(awp is still gay :)
If you get shot in the back by a camper you were doing somthing wrong. A good player will rarly get shot in the back.Comment

The scout is actually a very admirable weapon, unlike the AWM this gun actually takes skill, with a weaker dispatching ratio that the AWM but at the same time it doesn't have the same limitations that the AWM puts on you not only to be accurate because of the horrible cyclic rate but also the weight ratio that the AWM puts on you the Scout doesn't put the movement restriction on you and also has a slightly higher cyclic rate but at the sacrifice of power. Is it worth it Rizzuh? What do you think? (other than i might be a total moron wasting your time) this is my first time responding to this but i have been a member for a while nowComment
