    CSG..?

We were previously told that CSGuard, the most popular anti-cheat, has ceased development. After checking with the real official site, it looks like CSGuard is fine and dandy. We're now told that OLO has stopped working on it, but many programmers are steping up to help out.

Since olo is keeping everyone in the dark, we're not sure if this is true either.

Actually Olo is no longer working on CS Guard but some people claim to be putting a team together to continue his work. So we will have to wait and see.

Sorry, news was submitted and I checked with a 'supposed insider' before I posted and he told me it was dead. Oh well.

It may be officialy dead. we just have to wait and see what Olo does with the source code. If he gives it out to alot of people will it be CSG anymore? If he lets a team continue where he left off then I could see it still being refered to as CSG. Or will he release it publicly and therefore killing it officialy.

I posted this news on CSCentral.com yesterday, and tried to check it out as best I could before I posted it, but the whole thing was rather squirrelly and undefined. Even after spending more time on it today, I'd have to say the original news was not wholly incorrect, just incomplete. Basically, Olo has decided not to work on CSGuard and is releasing the source code. To my knowledge, the group that (may or may not) continue development still hasn't coalesced completely yet. So even if CSGuard does continue in some fashion, it will not be in the exact form it started in.

I did post the wrong site though, and a terrible translation made me assume there was more to the story then met the eye, but I have since amended the post.

CSGuard source code has been passed to another person who is indeed going to continue and has already begun building a team. It's not dead in fact it looks like getting better and stronger.....
