    CS: CZ @ GDC II

GameHelper.com has posted its CS: Condition Zero write-up from their impressions at the GDC. It covers more in-depth items rather than the basics and includes a few tidbits that will need to be added to CS: CZ info section (read: new info!). Here's a quoth:
We asked Randy how you would control your teammates in the final release. At the moment the rev we saw was using the old school radio command system, but they are working towards removing that. Randy wanted the bots to behave more intelligently. They will ultimately follow-you and make decisions based upon the setting. If you’re getting fired upon they’ll back you up. If they see you heading slowly into an area, they will proceed with caution. These are a few examples and we did see some of this implemented already. Randy led his ‘crew’ through some moves in cs_coldstorage, and they followed him through the various alleyways closely with only a little coaxing.
Check it out, now! Note the LAW shots on the right if you haven't seen them before. The model's eye-candy seems to match that of the SomethingAwful 404 page.

Thanks to the author for referencing to our preview and giving us a link! Mucho appreciated.

then fault the man who created the law, not the model that looks like it... thats what a law looks like.

The LAW is a tube with a small metal mechanism on the top. So is the model, it's accurate...

there is no doubt the law is accurate but its not held correctly...if you were to hold a law like that and fire it would bounce right outta your grip....and your aim would be shit....hopefully some skinner will adjust that problem.....and even more hopefully no1 will fix it n it wont be in multiplayer

Easy copout. I thought the AUG would be a horrible addition to CS, the pictures of it in real life look horrible. After I saw Gooseman's model I loved the gun. The perspective and scale is incorrect. Near the midsection, it's about as wide as the SIG sniper rifle.

Maybe, JUST MAYBE, it looks ugly and I'm not just venomously anti-Gearbox. I have a really weird way of showing my anti-ness if all I do is pimp the game and write massive previews about it.

It's a damned good copy of the M72 LAW, really. It even looks about the right scale IMO. (Its "only" a 66mm weapon afterall, practically as small as LAWs come.)

Are you sure you're not just objecting because you think its going to add suckage to the gameplay? ;-P

(BTW - It actually is held correctly too! The launcher is basically just a tube and there's no recoil when you fire it because its open at the back... Just *don't* stand in the back-blast area...) :-)
