As said in their irc channel, "X3 is going inactive from online CS and we are parting ways for now". Many could see this coming, and my recent article X3 -- Fall from Grace? was almost a prophet to this event. Despite their recent RGL-expert championship win, it is speculated that their loss to The Speakeasy Offensive (TSO) tonight of 19-5 is what prompted this. While it is assumed that X3 is still together, there are no promises as to whether the world famous clan will show up at this summer's CPL.
Given that I've been in this community a long while, I must comment that X3 has almost always held that #1 spot with an iron like grip. It's my prediction, however, that X3 is not down-and-out -- after all, former world-reknowned clan CK3 recently made a return and are currently competing in CAL-Main. It saddens me to see X3 do this, but hopefully they'll get their act together and eventually return stronger than ever.
Update: They're only going inactive online, so we will see them at the CPL. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
