    Summerblue Report

The Summerblue Report on CS 1.3 is now public. This explains some of the bugs in 1.3 and many more informative things including Gun analysis, Gunfire critique, long range headshots and much much more. Even though 1.4 will be out soon, most of this guide will still apply to 1.4. Obsolete material will be removed and it should be updated over time.

Here is a tidbit on headshots:
Hitboxes are rectangular. Models are not. Consequently, the edges of hitboxes often extend slightly past the edge of the visible model. In some cases, the degree of extension is enough to cause problems. In particular, it is hard to obtain a headshot from behind a player because the back and shoulder hit boxes obscure the head hit box.

hahah this thing is hilarious, and true
Grenades are totally unaffected by physical objects in the map. No matter what walls, doors, crates, tanks, reinforced thermonuclear blast proof concrete bunkers (and so on) lie between the target and the point of explosion the damage inflicted will not be reduced in any way.

Yes. It's also what you'd see on a normal forum, not 4,000 posts on a page.
