Clan uR is throwing a LAN party on March 30th at the Holiday Inn in Philly, PA. The event will include 50 people all throughout the area. The cost is $25 at the door and $20 pre-paid.

Ive never been to a LAN party before, are they worth going? I live in PGH about a few hours away from Philly. Is it hard for a newbie LAN'er to go to one of these?

it depends on the lan party. i've been to lanwars in kentucky. there were 500 people there so it was a sizable lan. there seemed to be a lot of smart computer people who just wanted to show off their toys. but the cstrike and dloading movies was fun.
